How to organize yourself to work online

Want to get an internet business or make some
money online? You can, but you first need to
get yourself organized.

Equipment

To do any sort of business on the internet you
will first need :

1) a computer with a built-in or exterior modem
2) a printer
3) some form of broadband connection

As soon as your computer is connected to the internet, you will need to add some sort of
virus protection.

There are many virus protection programs available, so get some advice from the shop where you bought your computer or ask someone else who knows.

Once you are online you can also find many free virus software programs on the internet which are free. Search on google and download one of them. You can also play around and if you do not like one, choose another.

Here is a good, free program to use to do a weekly scan on your computer to check for unwanted cookies and viruses:

Next you will need a good email account with a large memory. Sign up to several accounts but keep one or two only for your online businesses. Here are some reliable ones:

www.yahoo.com (comes with a very large memory)
www.fastmail.fm (comes with a large memory and is very fast as there are no ads or images.

Start out with a free account, but as your business grows and you need more reliability upgrade to paid accounts. They are very reasonable to buy.

Keep your user names and passwords handy in a small notebook by your computer.

Next you will need to sign up for some payment programs, as most internet businesses only use online payment processors to pay you your commissions.

So first sign up to paypal here:

www.paypal.com

Keep your user name and password very safe. Never ever give away your paypal password to anybody, as they can deplete your paypal account in a jiffy.

It is much easier and safer to pay for anything you purchase online via paypal, as you do not have to give your credit card info to all and sundry. You do have to pay paypal a very small charge for this service, but at least you have peace of mind and will never have to worry about your credit card details being used fraudulently.

Once you sign up, if you want to make any purchases online, you can add your credit card details to your paypal account. Henceforth whenever you purchase anything via paypal, they will deduct the money off your credit card.

Next you will most probably be working with affiliate programs to sell other people's products online, if you do not have any of your own. To do this, you need a clickbank account, so sign up here:

www.clickbank.com

Keep this user name and password safe and handy too.
